Lt Col (Rtd) Mohd Nor passed away between 1600 and 1900hrs on Friday 6 June 2008, in Frankfurt, Germany. (local time) We got the news at about 1800hrs on Saturday, 7 June after we arrived from Endau. We decided to go pay our commiseration to the widow, Mahani and the children, after Maghrib prayer.
Then began the drama to get the Jenazah home for burial. I tried to call Wan Aminuddin to inform him about the death. I could'nt get to talk to him but instead received his SMS, " Can't talk now, am on a flight home. will talk to you when arrive KLIA @ 6.30. Takziah". Only then it dawned that Wan was with Nor in Germany.
After 3 days of drama, Nor was flown home disembahayangkan dimesjid Al-Mujahiddin Damansara Utama and then buried at the Bukit Kiara Cemetary at 2200hrs on 11 June, 2008. Alfatihah!
